IEEE DySPAN 2008 FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

*** It is important to read ALL of the information below carefully before submitting your paper.***

IMPORTANT DATES:
Acceptance notification: Thursday 7 August 2008
Final camera ready copy: Thursday 21 August 2008
NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED BEYOND THE DEADLINE.

All accepted papers must be prepared as indicated below and final camera ready versions uploaded to IEEE Conference eXpress by 21 August 2008 site in order for them to be published in the proceedings. 

DO NOT upload your paper to EDAS!!  Your final paper submission needs to be done through IEEE Proceedings using the link above.

Critical:  Failure to comply with all the required elements will lead to the removal of the paper from the technical program and the conference records.

It is important for all IEEE authors to recognize that plagiarism in any form, at any level, is unacceptable and is considered a serious breach of professional conduct, with potentially severe ethical and legal consequences.

REVISE YOUR PAPERS.
Please read the reviews and follow the reviewers' recommendations for revising your final paper.  When you are done with revising, please print out your paper and proofread it.  It is advisable to review IEEE formatting requirements at http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/dyspan08/index.html


REMINDER ABOUT NUMBER OF PAGES:
The maximum page length for DySPAN 2008 papers in the Technology Category is 12 pages, including figures, tables and references.
The maximum page length for DySPAN 2008 Policy or Position papers is 25 pages, including figures, tables and references (IEEE double column standard format, Times Roman 10pt font).

  • REGISTER FOR CONFERENCE.
    Read the bulleted items in their entirety before you register:
    ComSoc policy states that all accepted IEEE DySPAN 2008 paper presenters must register at the FULL member or non-member rate.  For authors presenting multiple papers, one FULL registration is valid for up to three papers.
  • At least one author must register for the conference on/by 21 August 2008.
    Your paper submission will not be approved before you complete your conference registration.It is imperative that the same author upload the paper(s), review, and approve PDFs and submit copyright form. (Only one e-mail address can be identified to a registration code).
  • When you are done with the registration, you will be given a Registration Code, which will be needed to upload your paper in the following step. If you are registering by fax, please allow 3 working days to receive your Registration Code.
  • PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION CODE WITH ANYONE ELSE.
    ALTHOUGH THE CODE ENABLES SUBMISSION OF UP TO THREE PAPERS, IT CAN BE USED ONLY ONCE, BY YOU, TO CREATE ONE AUTHOR ACCOUNT FOR THESE SUBMISSIONS

FOR THOSE AUTHORS WHO WANT TO REQUEST VISA ASSISTANCE FROM COMSOC:

Do not delay in making VISA arrangements for entry into the United States if needed. ى

Such arrangements are the responsibility of authors and other participants and may take up to a few months.

VISA ASSISTANCE LETTERS from ComSoc can be generated by the EDAS system:

  • Log into EDAS site, and find your paper.
  • Toward the bottom of the page, you will find in the properties column the words visa letter, and beside it, an image of an envelope outlined in yellow.
  • Click on this envelope, and you will be able to confirm or change your address information reflected in the letter.
  • Then the system will generate the letter for your use.
